Greater Prilentin

Greater Prilentin was once the battlefield of the largest battle of the great war – The battle of Prilentin. This battle lasted an entire year, and ravaged the land. By the time the battle was over, the land was burnt, greyed, and destroyed. It was completely unlivable, and everyone reluctantly accepted its existance as a permanent reminder of the ramifications of war. Everyone, that is, except a great archdruid wood elf called Esmeralda.

Esmaralda was well known for her love of nature – even amongst druids. Many believe that she was secretly a nymph, as her love for nature trumped even some of them. And so, she travelled to Greater Prilentin, and began terraforming it. It was a slow, arduous process, as the land had been rendered unable to sprout life by any natural means. But Esmeralda cultivated the soil, dug lakes, raised wildlife, and in the end worked 50 long years until she passed away. Those 50 years were well spent however, as she had returned the natural beauty to an area of Greater Prilentin so large that it would eventually become the capital, Prilentin.

But her life was much more impactful than that, as she had inspired countless other druids to carry on her quest in her name. And within 100 years, thanks to the help of druids from all over the realm, almost all of Greater Prilentin was restored. There were only two exceptions, the first being areas that looked more beautiful without being fully restored; such as fields of flowers littered with giant, moss covered weapons, or caves with an open dragon skull at the entrance. The second exception was the only area they were unable to restore at all, that being The aptly named Scar. The scar was the massive chasm created during Odin’s and Tiamat’s first exchanged blow. The sheer size of the fissure would’ve made it a daunting enough task, but combined with the wind speeds that could tear flesh from bone even when OUTISIDE The Scar, and the roaring winds so deafening that spells with a verbal component failed to work (and spells with somantic components were hard due to the difficulty of moving one’s limbs, and material was hard as the material may be either blown away or shredded by the sand-filled wind), and the task was essentially impossible without divine intervention.

In the modern day, Greater Prilentin is thriving. It holds its well deserved seat on the Coalition, and is at the pinacle of magical and technological advancement. Inhabited mostly by elves, the country outside the capital is rather ironically different to life inside the capital. Most of Greater Prilentin is populated by wood elves, who spend their time living peaceful, quiet lives in small countryside communities throughout the beautiful landscape of the country. The capital, Prilentin, is populated mostly by high elves, and lives at the height of luxury. Almost everything is lined with gold or silver, combined with the marble buildings and the city can be almost blindingly bright some days.

All things considered, Greater Prilentin is by far one of the best countries to live in in the material realm – with beautiful scenery, booming economy, peaceful or luxurious lifestyles available, and the newest in magical and technological advancements at your fingertips. That is, if you’re an elf.

Despite being incredibly progressive from a scientific standpoint, the city as a whole feels stuck in the past. Although they no longer ban non-elf races by law from the capital (though this was only changed 50 years ago), that doesn’t mean that the general population are fans of other races. Discrimination and even hate crimes are more prevalent in Prilentin than in any other country. The only industries in their capital (or entire country for that matter) which have less than 75% elven workers are:

  • Deliveries (60% elven workers, as they often order things from outside Prilentin)
  • The Realm Guardians Guild (only 40% elven workers, as the leader of the realm guardians is very progressive, plus they recruit from across all realms)
  • The military (only 10% elven soldiers, as they have mercenary armies, composed of lots of giants and Githyanki)

Other useful information:

Greater Prilentin has a good relationship with Slagforgt, as their alliance provides huge benefits to both – namely Slagforgt needs money and Greater Prilentin needs military strength.

Greater Prilentin’s government has a slightly good relationship with Tu’Narath, though its citizens still don’t like Gith.

Greater Prilentin has a horrible relationship with Godak, Zou, [Hell country] and Shasuk, all for racist reasons.
