Also known as The Wildlands, it is a place teeming with nature, with many different habitats throughout the incredibly bio-diverse land. However, the majority of Zou is a harsh jungle, filled with dangerous plants and even more dangerous animals. Most of the “Giant” animals are native to Zou and roam the habitat their normal sized counterparts would. The inhabitants of the country are known as “beast folk”. This encompasses many different creatures which look as if they are half animal. This includes Minx, Kitsune, Satyr, and even some Kuo-Toa (as this is right next to Kapaland.)
Zou is separated by The Sling river, the longest river in the material realm that runs through Kapaland, Zou, Slagforgt and into the void of Skyrana. Most of the harsh environments of Zou are below the sling, while the land above the sling is where most of the beast folk live. These lands are beautiful sprawling plains, where the beast-folk frolic all day. The economy of Zou is entirely self-sufficient, and is the only country that is recognised as a country by the Coalition, but does not partake in it.
Zou is incredibly dangerous to travel through. After all, what’s more dangerous than a pack of 10 foot tall panthers? The people that hunt them.
Zou’s leader is a spider minx named Ka’an. He fights with 2 swords, a spear, a crossbow and 2 sheilds. His danger doesn’t come solely from his ability to use these weapons however, it comes from his mastery of this fighting style. He has “single-handedly” invented a fighting style, along with 4 different variations of that fightingstyle, and mastered each of those. Because nobody can beat him, he only trains pupils that can make him use more than one hand at a time in a fight. Currently he only has 1 student, a monkey minx named Lai’ong Ping (Lai for short). She is rather unpleasant, and rude to anyone she deems weaker than her. And due to her arrogance, she assumes any new person she meets is weaker than her. If you are stronger than her however, the difference is like night and day. She’s practically a different person, speaking with such formality, with words you wouldn’t have thought she could even spell.
She is however, an incredibly strong fighter, annoyingly justifying her arrogance. Most monkeys of course make use of their tail in combat, but Lai’ong Ping decides to make use of how opposable her feet are, using her tail as support while wielding weapons in all four limbs, plus her teeth. If the players return here in 2 years Time, Lai’ong would’ve grown even more as a fighter, using 6 weapon style, by balancing on her head to free up her tail, and holding a weapon in her teeth.
